Astrobiology Graduate Conference 2025 | Dark Skies, Bright Futures
Expect to venture between the hotels, the presentation venue, the dinner locations, and the field trip sites. Talks and posters will all be held in the Jennie Smoly Caruthers Biotechnology Building (JSCBB) on the CU Boulder East Campus.
Attendees will stay in one of 3 hotels in Boulder: The Embassy Suites, Residence Inn, and Downtown Boulder Marriott. On June 10th, the Welcome Dinner and first Keynote Talk will be in the Trailhead Ballroom of the Boulder Marriott. The second evening's Career Panel will take place in the Dairy Arts Center Theater. Both of these locations are a quick walk from all three hotels.
Bus Route from Downtown Boulder Station to the Hotels on Bus 205
(June 10th)
Recommended Walking Route from Hotels to JSCBB
(June 11th, 12th, 13th)
Bus Route from JSCBB to the Rayback Collective
(June 12th)
There are several venues which we recommend riding the public bus to reach. While the distances are all less than 45 minutes of walking, the tight schedule is better kept with the bus rides and the altitude can make the walks a bit tougher than usual. Tickets can be bought through the RTD Next Ride App or at bus terminals. In town tickets for valid for 3 hour periods are $2.75 and whole day passes are $5.50.
Airport: When arriving at the airport, we suggest purchasing the $10 airport fare ticket for the AB1 line which drops off at the Downtown Boulder Bus Station. A 25 minute walk or bus ride on the 205 line bus connects the Downtown Boulder Station to the hotels.
June 12th: On the evening of June 12th, we strongly encourage taking the RTD Bound line Northbound from the 30th St and Colorado Blvd Station (near the JSCBB) to the 30th St and Valmont Rd Station (near the Rayback Collective).
June 13th: To reach the Sommers Bosch Observatory on the evening of June 13th you can ride the Bound line Southbound from the 30th St and Colorado Blvd Station to the Baseline Rd & Broadway Station.
